Romney Rants and Raves

Krusty beat us to the punch on this one. Damn that real job.

House Speaker Chritopher Rants will join the Kommonwealth (homage to Krusty skooping us) PAC tomorrow. Obviously getting the Speaker is a koup for the Kommonwealth PAC. Rants official title is as "advisor" to the PAK. He will play an active role in recruiting other legislators and he can certainly help with local fundraising and outreach. Rants has quite a bit of pull in the kapitol city..

Interesting Subplot: Rants and ITR butted heads during the Primary season this year, with ITR challenging a number of House incumbents in the Primary. With (many- error see below) of ITR's staff working for Pataki, that rivalry will continue to build. If you see an uptick in Pataki v. Romney sniping, now you know why.
---
Update: In the interests of accuracy, Ed Failor Jr. is the only person at ITR that also works for Pataki. Both 21st Century Freedom PAC and ITR have other people with connections to both groups including Loras Schulte and Erik Helland.
---
We also are happy to see Romney fundraising for Tami Wiencek. Beat the krap out of Don Shoultz girlfriend!

Hmmm... Great news for Mittworld indeed.....

Ah Don shoultz.... seems like only yesterday he and Jack Holveck turned me in to the chief Clerk for having a conservative quote screensaver scrolling across my laptop pc. They sat behind me when I was a clerk in the house back in the day and had to look at, "The supply of government exceeds the demand - Phil Gramm" and "the power to tax is the power to destroy - Chief Justice Marshall". It really pissed them off. hehehehee....

WAR Mitt Romney

We meant to note that Romney picked up the Michigan speaker of the house a few weeks back.

Rants in yesterday's Des Moines Register:

"We need to protect fat kids, kids with glasses, kids who are too smart, kids who aren’t too smart. ... Schools should be a safe place regardless of whatever sets you apart,” Rants said.

Do you think he intentionally forget to include kids who are Mormans?

Kooler - Don't be surprised that Krusty scooped you. Yoda says he and Krusty are real good friends adn Yoda has signed up on the Romney team. Yoda says he and Gentry are good friends too, so having Krusty know about Rants before you makes komplete sense.

The only place that Rants helps is on the list titled 'endorsements' that Commonwealth PAC shows to big donors on the coasts.

Oooohhh...you got the speaker of the Iowa House? Very impressive.

It won't help him in Iowa cuz most Iowan's don't know him and the ones who do don't like him.

By the way, this site beats the pants off of Krusty.
