The Andrew next Dorr

A couple weeks back we told you that the rumor around the Cooler was that Jim Nussle's political director Andrew Dorr would be heading Rudy’s Iowa ship. Now we feel quite confident that is indeed the truth. Dorr will in fact head-up Rudy’s fledgling Iowa organization. It’s about time they got on the stick…

It's a great pickup for Rudy. Andrew knows his stuff, and he'll work hard to get Rudy into Iowa.

Congrats Andrew, welcome to the race...

That makes 3 ex-Nussle staffers on the Giuliani staff. Does this mean they are going to re-run the '06 campaign? What does everyone think?

Will it be Romney or McCain with a "secret plan"?

How many logo changes will Rudy go through?

the logo change comment was a good one

i know many on the blogosphere (or at least the vocal ones)blame the staff for Nussles lost.

but couldn't the brunt of the blame be put on the climate and the candidate?

Did anyone hear Mike Murphy yesterday on Tucker's MSNBC show? He says that Rudy plan was to jump in late but since reporters and a few website sites that him and 9 others go too was talking about his lack of staffing and saying that was proff he was not running. Now they are moving up anything to appease them.

It'just the latest example and proof positive that Nussle is completely tone deaf to the voters in Iowa.

Too bad for Rudy. He knows not what he bot.

Burton you lost a lot of credibility with that post. Andrew is andrew's own demise.

I'm going with Burton on this one. Andrew is a good guy with a lot of talent. He didn't lose the campaign for Nussle and he'll do a great job for Rudy.

Congrats Andrew!

Finally! A possible explanation for the loss besides everyone trashing Nussle staffers. What a concept!

Thank you for having the sack to give an alternate viewpoint.

Ummm...do I sense a blog war in the making?? Who's right? Who's wrong? Why doesn't someone just get Dorr on the phone and ask?
