Who's the tall Hungarian anyway?
- "Several passers-by inquired of media who Pataki was, but he took it in stride as he worked to bolster his name identification among voters who make the first choices in the presidential selection process"(Gazette)
- At well over 6 feet tall and dressed in a long-sleeved dress shirt and pressed khaki pants, Pataki stood out. "It's one of those guys," said Buck Noah of Des Moines. "Now which one is he?" (Register)
Both papers also covered Pataki talking about the foiled terror plot, and what New York was doing to bolster security.
- "We did bring in some more National Guard and focus some more attention on the airports" (Gazette)
That's funny, we didn't see him discussing that on Fox News. Get on it Team Pataki.

The funny thing is even if nobody has heard of Pataki at the fair he still has a higher approval rating there than in his home state...
Other than McCain, Giuliani and a little bit of Gingrich, most of our candidates had little name ID.
Most Iowans didn't know who Bill Clinton was in August of 91. Most Iowans thought George W was his dad in 99.
Pataki knocked off Mario Cuomo and has easily won two gubernatorial reelection campaigns in a heavy Democrat state.
Let's stay positive about all of our candidates for President since we're going to have to get behind one of them two years hence.
Cmon ted +'ve heard you trash the shit out of mccain. Practice what you preach.
I must retort.
The media will never be able to find any quote of mine to use against our nominee in 2008.
