Straw Poll Date Announced

The Republican Party of Iowa announced this morning that the Presidential Straw Poll will be held on August 11, 2007 at the traditional location in Ames.

The straw poll will be the first marker of the 08ers organizational strength and popularity.

Less than 9 months away...

Mitt needs to win this big. Looking through old threads and posts, it would appear that will not be a problem because he has the "best talent on the ground." I would therefore expect that Mitt & Co. MUST win the straw poll comfortably to prove that consensus thought here at the cooler.

Boo-hoo, cancer man. Can't you see through all that smoke you are blowing. The CC has always said those national polls are nothing more than name identification and not a sign of organizational strength (see past posts). If that is true, then all the posts saying Mitt has the best organization in Iowa should prove true. I am sure Doug Gross will lead you to victory in August. He had better deliver the straw poll in a big way, or Mitt's little adventure away from the Bay State surely will come crashing down.

Wow it's really early for the Straw Poll Expectations game.

Come august the big 3- Rudy, McCain, and Mitt will all have to do well. That's the fact.
