Allen rides again

George Allen's senate bid may not end up as close as once thought... his opponent Jim Webb was hit hard last night by master strategist Dick Wadhams on his past fiction writings. We at the Cooler think this will put Allen over the top in his Senate race but will his '08 hopes be rekindled at the same time?

We all should agree that a "Macaca" coming out of a mouth is far less damaging than a little boy's "caca" going into a mouth.

Actually, to be fair, apparently a parent placing his or her son's penis in his or her mouth- strange as it admittedly seems- really is a completely non-sexual Thai custom meant to express affection, though it is rarely practiced
with children over one year of age.

Really.

Because YOU say so doesn't make your statement true, Bob. Give us a link to some documentation or take your limp noodle defense of a smutty author somewhere else.

Stop deluding yourselves. Allen is toast. Even if he drags out a 51-49 victory in VA, his presidential ambitions are far diminished. Until this week, his name was nowhere to be seen on the radar for weeks.

Only Richard Nixon could come back from the disaster that has befallen Allen's presidential aspirations.

but--what kind of a mufuggin pervert even entertains the concept much less the vivid mental images portrayed in Webb's book.

Webb-yes, too weird for the US Senate.

Here's some good news for folks who are looking for a leader who has a real track record on reigning in a blue state budget. We could use this leadership in the White House.

NYS Budget
10/29/2006
(WROC-TV)

New York State is on track for an over $1 billion surplus for the 2006-2007 fiscal year. The mid-year report is due out Monday. It points to better than expected economic growth and lower spending levels for the surplus. The extra money will head to several funds, including the state's Rainy Day Reserve fund.

The surplus also gives state reserves a boost. The Governor's office reports over $3 billion in total reserves.

Now, could Nussle do that?

Too bad Pataki had to raise taxes to achieve this surplus.

Cancer Man, why would George E want to be senator than a governor, especially of a large state like NY?

Huge advantage when running for president also-certainly worked for both Roosevelts and almost a Rockefeller or two.

Hmmmm.... a pre-emptive WAR Sporer....

Now then, Cancer Man may have a point. Don't you think its hard to say beating Hillary Clinton wouldn't be a spring board to the Whitehouse?

Lots of Governor's become senators like Aschroft, Allen, Alexander, and that is just the A's.

I'm not trying to second guess him and I'm not saying Pataki can't win, but rather it would have been a bold move with a huge payday. One even Rudy passed on.

He would have been the giant killer....

WAR GOP Governors
