Lots of Krap
- Mitt Romney picking an odd time to start surveying GOPers in the Palmetto State. Romney sent more than 1,000 Republicans in the state a glossy, eight-page brochure that reads like a campaign solicitation and lays out what amounts to a 10-point plan to reinvorgating the conservative movement. The 10/30-dated latter includes a message-testing "State of South Carolina Survey" that asks recipients to agree or disagree with 20 issue statements. Strange timing, but otherwise the kind of thing we can expect from these guys in the near future. Anybody want to chime in on why they chose the week before the midterms for this? - Fun Story on Obama v. McCain on MSNBC. McCain spent an entire day campaigning for Tim Pawlenty, who will likely endorse McCain and has been speculated as a VP match- if Pawlenty can survive the Democrat wave of 06. Meanwhile, Obama was campaigning for Democrats in Rochester, Minnesota. This match-up would be the MSM's dream and Tom Curry has the preview.
- Mike Huckabee is appearing in a campaign ad this week for soon to be former Gubernatorial Candidate Asa Hutchinson. Huckabee levels some peripheral corruption charges at soon to be Governor Mike Beebe and trots out the old "Balance of Power" argument for Asa. Read more at Arkansasnews.com

Romney = Perot
Could someone provide the thumbnail on Obama? What is the big deal? I'm unfamiliar with him other than the MSM falling all over him like groupies wanting to hook up with a rock star.
The interesting thing about Obama is that he was a State Senator (and a liberal one at that) only 2 years ago..
It's amazing what a good , primetime convention speech can do for a career.
Maestro-
So based on that logic, would you say that Tom Reynolds, Ken Mehlman, Elizabeth Dole, and Karl Rove failed? I think you could make the argument that the NRSC should not have spent money on the MI Sen race. That is just one example of money not being distributed wisely at any level.
Romney is not to blame for RGA losses, this is a Republican problem on the whole.
Hmmmm.... So Maestro is Mitt supposed to run all 36 races for Gov this year? Or are the individual candidates and thier campaign managers supposed to do that?
The RGA and the RNCC etc. are supplemental organizations meant to help raise money and then direct those funds to their respective races. Romney has raised record levels of cash and has a whopping 36 races to spread them across.
We aren't talking quantum physics here buddy.
Mitt is to be commended given that gov candidates across the country are being saddled with America's dissatisfaction on Iraq amd with our party in Washington D.C., but then this is all greek to you since it is your intent to just trash Romney.
WAR The 11th Commandment
Indiana and Utah support McCain - who supports Mitt?
We might be forced to start a thread just for Prez staffers to flame each other in...
Has McCain ever run anything bigger than a Senate office?
winin08, with that last France comment you are now officially a putz in my book. good job.
ps - i think i could be happy with either mitt or mccain. i like mitt a bit better. why does everybody gotta be such haters so early?
Has John McCain ever run anything bigger than a Senate office?
fidelity, for one thing . . .
Liked that one Kristine!
Funny how Winin08 never denied the accusations of being a McCain Staffer. Disclosure is important in my book.
I do know for a fact that me, Kristine, and Murphy are NOT Romney Staffers.
Now this "Maestro" dude chiming in . . . sounds like another "anonymous staffer".
I'm starting to develop a thicker skin with all this crap being hurled at Romney.
It's 2006 people! Support your candidate of choice . . . if you can.
I've got some major complaints about McCain and Huckabee . . . but I'll reserve those critiques for the time being because I see no sense in highlighting them . . . yet.
Mitt was at his best in Linn County yesterday. Too bad everyone didn't get to eat at the Irish Democrat with him!
His VP to be was with him, Governor Haley Barbour from the South. Nice duo.
WAR Romney winning in 08
WAR LC doing a great job in getting a crowd together.
War Romney Buying off people and Votes one by one and forgetting about the good of the country!--kinda reminds me of a few democrats I know!

Romney buying off people? I thought Pataki was doing that.
Pataki doesn't have to buy anyone. He does offer to pay for work done. Novel concept in Iowa isn't it.
