I went to Walmart yesterday and found a book By Bob VanderPlaats is this that same Vanderplaats that ran for governor? Book Title was "Light From Lucas"?

Yes, it's the same Vander Plaats. BVP wrote this book over the past few years about his son and lessons that parents can learn from their children with "disabilites".
I've heard part of it and it's pretty good.
