Team McCain

The Washington Post this morning has the story on John McCain's National Presidential team. You can read about it at washingtonpost.com or at hotlineblog.national journal.com...

Noteworthy for us in Iowa is that laconic Marshalltown native Terry Nelson will serve as campaign manager.

Others of note include RNC communications director Brian Jones and national comm director. The Tarrance Group will serve as McCains pollster.

Both Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. And Gov. Tim Pawlenty will play major roles.

Does this mean Terry Nelson is going to payback that $800,000 he owes Pawlenty for using illegal dollars in a tv buy in '02? He got busted for it and was run out of Minnesota after Pawlenty's campaign had to pay the 800k fine which was the amount of the tv buy.

Anyone who gave Pawlenty a dime should be pretty pissed off. $800K was wasted instead of helping the candidate.

"Nelson's hire is clearly a huge get, but will not come without controversy. Nelson made political headlines in the 2006 cycle as the strategist tapped to head up the RNC's independent expenditure which was responsible for that extremely controversial ad in Tennessee against Harold Ford, Jr. featuring a young blonde actress portraying a woman who met Ford at a Playboy party and who suggestively asks him to call her at the end of the ad. (It caused enough heartache for one of Nelson's other clients, Working Families for Wal-Mart, that they sought and received his resignation after the episode.) Nelson was also tied up in the recently settled New Hampshire phone jamming case and in Tom DeLay's TRMPAC troubles from his days at the RNC."

Geez, why didn't Mccain just hire Jack Abramoff, oh yea he's in prison. Nevermind.

The harold ford as was GREAT! It was the only one I liked. I think it was devastating to Ford.

The blond thing is a red herring. WHat is the stereotype of the playboy playmate? Platinum fake blond with big jugs, just like the one in the commercial.

The liberal media who tried to turn it into a race thing revealed their own racism by trying to claim it was anything other than that.

Why are democrats against black men dating white, blond and buxom playboy playmates?

Getting dumped by Wal Mart for being too shady is like getting kicked out of Guns 'N Roses for having too serious of a drug problem.
