We have a busy Monday ahead of us at Cooler HQ and might not be able to blog until tomorrow evening. So we wanted to take this opportunity to ask you our readers to give us your .02 on what you'd like to see more of/less of from the Cooler staff in the winter months.
Don't be shy, be critical, and we'll try to accomodate your wishes.
On a side note, this last week we have had a record number of visitors to the Cooler. We're glad you are making us part of your daily procrastination.

Thank you, cooler, for your great coverage and observations. One thing I'd like to see more about is Mike Huckabee and less of the pandering moderate hacks that are part of the big three.
On to '08!!!
Huckabee? The guy who panders on immigration. The guy who panders by advocating increasing spending on entitlement programs? Oh, the "real" Republican. I didn't know there were "real" Republicans and "faux" Republicans. Enlighten us Peter when you back from putting the snakes away after your southern baptist service tonight. It's called a big-tent Peter, NOT a pup-tent.
Thanks Peter-
We agree that we've ignored Huckabee to an extent but a large part of that is how quiet he's been in Iowa lately. Almost no action at all out of his camp.
Also keep in mind that Huckabee is probably the most moderate fiscally of all our candidates.
Hmmmm... Cooler, let's be fair on Huckabee shall we..... How can he possibly be more of a fiscal moderate than McCain? Did Huckabee fight tooth and nail against the Bush tax cuts? No.
Did McCain? The answer you seek is yes!
Yoda - I thought you were not coming to the cooler anyomore...
man of your word, you're not
Somebody has to set the McCainiac blog straight....
Yoda-
If we're really going to be fair this is how we see it. While McCain has opposed certain aspects of the Bush tax cuts in the past he is probably the candidate with the strongest record on responsible spending and cutting pork.
Huckabee on the otherhand also has supported tax increases as well as supporting certain big government projects and government expansion.
So calling Huckabee "probably the most moderate fiscal candidate" we think is a fair assessment.
That being said, if he's not the "most" moderate he is certainly one of the most moderate on fiscal issues. That is indisputable.
Hmmm.... ok, but we can expand this debate by bringing to question both of the candidates on the immigration issue. I'm less familiar with Huckabee on this, but with respect to McCain's amnesty position and the fiscal impact of all the illegal aliens on our criminal justice, health care and tax systems is enormous. They take from our community but pay nothing into it.
Fiscally responsible?
Shall I make another example?
WAR Magnum P.I.
They both have a similar position on abortion yoda. And it's a similar position as Bush's incidentally.
good effort though.
You sure have got violent for a former McCain guy.
Check abortion- we meant immigration.
Even though the same thing could be said for abortion...
What about gay marriage? Last time I checked Huckabee was against it. By the way, does anybody know if McCain is still against it and in favor of it? And since when is Rudy Giuliani a "real" Republican, max fischer?
McCain guy? Not me.
I'd like to see more coverage of Chuck Hagel. Yes, he hasn't been very active in Iowa (yet) but then again if he decides to run my hunch is that he'll hit the ground running. Hagel is one of the most fiscally conservative candidates in the Republican field and is a social conservative as well (he is to the right of the big three, as someone called them).
Also, Brownback has formed an exploratory committee (in the news today).
I would like to continue finding out where the activists are going to work.
I'd like to find out how anyone can say "Huckabee" and keep a straight face.
I'd like to hear more about why people in Iowa are so overweight?
More analysis. Less destructive comments on Iowa activists. Remember we gotta live here.
