Busy day in the Cooler...
Sam Brownback's Iowa campaign added a new political director today. Brownback hired Jay Heine, longtime advisor to Bob Vander Plaats gubernatorial campaigns. Heine also spent a short time in South Dakota helping John Thune's campaign.
As we reported yesterday Brownback was in town this week meeting with operatives and activists, they've brought on at least 1 field staffer as well to our knowledge.

The only thing we have the facts on are in the post. What we've heard is that Trainor is a field director but that may or may not be true.
Jay Heine is one of the best political advisors in the state. My money is now on Sen. Brownback as the front runner.

jay did not write that. i did. jay is a very good friend of mine. jay's morals and priciples are formed on whats right and honest. some people in our party confuse that with the numers on their paycheck.

I swear this blog is here to bash staffers, first Maxine and Marlys and Heine now --starting to look like krusty more and more.
5:48 says "Jay Heine is one of the best political advisors in the state." While I respect Jay and think he is a nice guy, he does have a tendency to exaggerate and has little know-how or experience. It's simply ridiculous to say something like that. I'm not bashing him, just making a sincere observation best I can without being mean. And that reflects Brownback as a whole, by the way. He is a very nice Christian man, sincere and principled. But he simply does not have the skills or gifts to make a credible run at the presidency.

All I'm saying is Senator Thune and the everyone in the entire Thune organization have never heard of Jay Heine. His resume is exaggerated, and someone should call him on it.

Heine is a complete disaster. Everyone should stay away. He completely exaggerates everything and is probably the most incompetent person I've ever worked with.
Ok the truth is Jay Heine is one of the top political advisors in Iowa and an asset to any team. He has a knack of knowing what is going to happen before it happens.
Obviously, some people have come up against Jay Heine and have lost and have nothing better to do than slander his good name.
