Rudy stings Romney/Staffing on up

We've got two tidbits for you this evening. A pro-Giuliani tipster pointed us to some astounding numbers. The Republican Governor's Association gave over $1.2 million dollars to Jim Nussle's campaign. We all know that Governor Romney was the chair of that committee. Romney's PAC gave over 100K to Nussle, making him the single largest PAC contributer to the Nussle campaign. Given those facts, doesn't this Giuliani coup sting a little bit for Romney? You'd think all of that $$$ might have gotten him a little farther.

How much did Rudy give to Nussle you ask? ZIPPO. That's a pretty good return on your investment for America's Mayor.

In other news, word around the Cooler is that both Tommy Thompson and Sam Brownback are interviewing for and hiring field staff, making the Mitt-McCain powerhouses not the only horses with activity in the state. Both have already added at least one field guy to the Cooler's knowledge and are on the lookout for more. Brownback was meeting with folks in Des Moines yesterday, while Thompson was in the Quad Cities (home of Victory Enterprises) meeting with folks over the weekend.

All for now...

Remember that Nussle has a consulting firm now. I am sure the firm is being paid handsomely by Rudy for Jim's services. If Mitt wants those services as well, he will have to pay up just like anyone else. Remeber, Jim is in the private sector now where the objective is to turn a profit. However, I am happy to see that he is getting a paycheck while many of his former staffers are applying for unemployment...

Looks like Mitt didn't time his pay-off very well then.

Good to see the Rudy staffers are already bashing Mitt when they've barely got started in the state yet. Nice job Maria!

Nussle is in fact a PAID consultant to Guiliani. Just how much he's bilking Rudy for is TBD.

Romney wanted Republicans governors, not Nussle to endorse him.

People that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, because eventually if Rudy keeps attacking Romney, the dirt is going to come back on his head 10 fold. Hopefully he can cheat on another wife before the campaign is over.

Mitt has helped all Republicans !!
This includes on the federal, state, and yes, even the county level .

This is what GOOD Reupublicans do for other Republicans

Mitt's grassroot support runs deeper in Iowa than meets the eye

Mitt did a heck of job winning Gov races. How about that money he spent in Mass? Or gave to DeVos in MI?

Nussle is more comfortable around "family value" guys like Rudy. Really, considering no one was excited to have Jim as the gov nominee, what benefit is this to Rudy. I would be more interested where VanderPlat ends up.
