Multiple Choice Mitt

Romney in a debate in 2002 courtesy of the good folks at the Hotline

"I have been very clear on that. I will preserve and protect a women's right to choose. And I am devoted and dedicated to honoring my word in that regard. I will not change any provisions of Massachusetts' pro-choice laws."

"A woman took a bold and courageous stand in 1970 and that was that a woman had a right to make her own choice as to whether she had an abortion, that was my mom Lenore Romney."

Kevin Madden in 2007- "Governor Romney's personal experience with a family member impacted his view of the subject 15 years ago, but in grappling with the issue as an elected governor, he reconsidered the issue."

Hey Mr. Madden. 2007-2002= 5

This guy will clearly say anything to get elected to something. Pro-choice is popular in Massachusetts, pro-life is popular among the GOP primary voters, go figure.

OK Murphy, so he told the MA voters one thing during the election, and then went back on it in anticipation of another election. You've made me feel so much better.

It has become more and more obvious that this blog is ran by McCain people.

Shame Shame on McCain.

Also funny that the only time these videos come out on youtube is when Romney has good press, or McCain has bad press.

554- We ran the Romney ad earlier today. Ran the anti-McCain you-tube as well. All these links come straight from the Hotline.

when has Romney had good press in the last week? The guy has gotten his ass handed to him on recently becoming an NRA member and the Tsongas vote, and the abortion stuff ain't going away.

the youtube video on McCain hurts but he just had a very good first trip to Iowa.

5:54 -- your rationale is twisted.

The Washington Post, Politico, The Hotline, Red State, Race42008 all have features about Romney's abortion position including this video last night/this morning. THEY ALL MUST BE BIASED!!!

Romney's tv spots are a desperation move. He's been running for months, paying ridiculous salaries to get people to join his team, paying people to show up for his meetings, and buying gifts for news media all in an effort to gain traction. But he's stuck in single digits and has a guy who just entered the race and who has spent no money catching him from behind. It's over for the Mitt-flopper. I kind of feel sorry for the poor dope for believing the bill of goods his "crack staff" sold him. They're just using him as a lifeboat until they can slip over to a credible candidate.

7:14 is jealous because Mitt has the resources to actually go up on TV.

Yet another article showcasing his unbridled hypocrisy on this issue:

in 2002, he says that he will not work to change the states' laws. is not that what conservatives think-that each state should be able to choose for themselves what the laws should be and not the federal government?

then say.. "I'm pro-life but wont work to change the laws" The rightwingers want someone to take an ACTIVE position, that's their only beef with Rudy. Nobody else can touch Rudy on his results as mayor of NYC. Abortions decreased!

I'm not sure which part is my favorite. When Mitt calls his mom "bold and courageous" for supporting abortion. (Yeah killing babies is one of the most courageous things you can do).

Or when he is like Peter in the garden on the pro-life endorsement. You will deny me three times...

Romney and his father were both the old republican types (pre-Reagan) that run the center line of things this type candidate will take us back tho the nixon ford years where we have no chance of regaining majority.

Damnit! I promised to do nothing to stop the slaughter of innocent babies and I kept my promise. That should count for SOMETHING!

Murphy's the guy who said Romney was "a pro-life Mormon faking it as a pro-choice friendly" governor.

We're expected to support the guy BECAUSE he says one thing and does another.
