Rumor Has It...

The Cooler staff would like to pass along a rumor that has come to our attention. Supposedly former RNC Early Vote/Absentee Ballot director Tony Delgado will manage Rudy Giuliani’s campaign in Iowa. In addition KC Jones will be the regional political director that oversees the state. Jones spent a brief stint in Iowa working for President Bush. In 2004 she was the Minnesota Deputy E.D. for the president. Most recently she ran Rick O’Donnell’s congressional race in Colorado. A number of Iowa activists with ties to Jones have said they’ve received calls from her in the past week regarding Mayor Giuliani’s campaign.

At least the KC part is true. The Hotline reported she was on board last week...

If both of those are true --- that's pretty scary. Delgado is one of the best grassroots guys in the country.

Hey, I say great. Welcome to the Hawkeye State, America's Mayor. The sooner you're here, the sooner everyone will come to know the following truth:

The pre- 9/11 Mayor Guliani has nothing in common with the Republican party.

I know both of these individuals...and I know that this is indeed fact.

They are both hard workers, but they will have a lot of catching up to do...very quickly.

I really like KC. Good for her and good pickup for Rudy. Rudy is starting out pretty impressively. Here's what they are all up against. Does anyone else think She and Bill intend to take over teh world? How about UN General Secretary for Bill?

"In response to a question from the audience, she called her husband "the most popular person in the world right now'' and said that when she reaches the White House, "I will continue the tradition of using former presidents" as diplomats around the world.

He's the most POPULAR PERSON IN THE WORLD? Now, THAT is some rewriting of history. Makes me want to read Dick Morris' book on the subject again.

We CANNOT have the Clintons' running the world. Head David Geffen's word about how easily they lie.

I'd take Rudy over Hillary anyday. Just being married once doesn't make me feel better about Hillary.

Maybe it would be easier for them if Rudy switched parties? At least they would be reaching out to people who shared their candidate's views then.

Y'all need to quit acting like EVERY candidate has to agree with EVERY plank in the party platform. Kicking out every so-called RINO accomplishes one thing: it loses elections. I'm as conservative as the next guy...but what happened to the big tent?

What happened to values and principles, 11:40? Or are they so unimportant that we throw them down the drain at the first sign of trouble?

whatever happened to conservative's pragmatism, and knowing when to fight which fights?

But isn't 2008 a fight we should go at with somebody who we believe in?

Unless someone's health drastically changes the next President will pick a new SCOTUS nominee.

I for one do not want Rudy and his personal pro abortion do whatever you want conscious having a say in who become the next justice.

At least McCain says that he will pick guys like Alito and Roberts.

Further, I don't a Rudy Justice Department chosing a solicitor general that doesn't want to overturn Roe v. Wade.

I also don't a Rudy DOJ taking gun rights away from gun owners. So what if Rudy thinks it's a state's rights issue. The federal government is ball deep in gun rights issues.

We can't trust the guy to do the right thing given his lazie-fair approach to traditional family values.

Great comment 8:40 about Giuliani having nothing in common with the Republican party! All I can say is it's about time after the last 6 years!

Giuliani balanced budgets, reduced crime, and did not increase government spending over the inflation rate!

we'll see how Giuliani's DC team does against everyone else's Iowa team when he competes here.

So seizing guns, dressing in drag and turning NYC into a haven for illegals is okay then?

Name the last time a mayor was elected president.

Name the last time someone in charge of the 2nd or 3rd most complex government in the country was elected president?

P.S. New York city in the 2nd or 3rd most complicated government in the US to run.

I will say it for you - touche!

P.S. The federal government deports citizens, not the New York city government. Republicans have been in charge of that for the past 6 years.

Dressing in drag was a joke with TRUMP. get it, ha ha

You have to do something with 2,000 murders a year. He is not going to take away from rednecks that get up at 4 am to go hunting for food that they could easily buy at the market.
